Notes on Cancellation of Rental Bookings

Your obligations and rights in the event of cancellation are most important and we have established this page to ensure that you have the possibility to clearly understand them. At any rate we strongly recommend that all travellers making advance flight and accommodation bookings avail of adequate travel insurance to ensure that should some unforseen event occur that causes a change in travel plans, they will be adequately covered for consequential expenses and cancellation fees incurred

Cancellation provisions in the Terms and Conditions

CANCELLATION: Cancellation is effected by the client when written notification is received by Vacanze in Villa or in the event of non payment of balances by the due dates. Should the client for whatever reason cancel the booking, they are entitled to reimbursement of all money paid subject to the deduction of cancellation charges. Cancellation charges are based on the total rental price and are calculated from the date of beginning of the rental period as follows:

Changes to booking dates, or villas within the period of 60 days prior to the date of rental will constitute a cancellation of the booking and a new confirmation will be required. In bona fide, Vacanze in Villa will attempt to mitigate all losses from cancellations, and will at its sole discretion retain the right to reduce cancellation charges as it sees fit on a case by case basis. Clients are advised to take out adequate insurance to ensure that they are protected from unforeseen events which may give rise to cancellations.

Events where cancellation may be enforced by the company with forfeiture of moneys paid up to the cancellation charge (at the companys discretion):

• Non payment of the final balance within 45 days of the departure date
• Non provision of details of tenants prior to arrival at the villa
  
• Exceeding the capacity of the accommodation

Vacanze in Villa would further evidence that in accordance with the Terms and Conditions, mistreatment, deliberate destruction or disrespect for rental accommodation properties is a basis for immediate termination of the rental contract without recourse against Vacanze in Villa.

Insurance: In the event that you must cancel your villa reservation and are covered by travel insurance, Vacanze in Villa will provide you with a cancellation invoice to be delivered to the insurance company with the claim
