Description

This cosy and charming villetta is set in a relaxing atmosphere, perfect for lazing around or to use as a base for the many excursions worth doing in the area.

Near the pool there is a large lawn area with citrus trees dotted around. Between the house and the garden there is large terrace, with a bamboo covered semi-shaded gazebo, perfect for lunches or relaxing with a book. A further sun terrace offers lovely sea views to the over the Bay of Salerno to the south. The area is equipped with open grill and a gazebo with outdoor table and chairs, deck chairs and market umbrella.

The house opens to a covered balcony, with external access to the kitchen. It is equipped with air conditioning (living room only) and offers two bedrooms and two bathrooms, furnished in a simple but tasteful style. This rental is also a good solution for a couple or honeymooners seeking an independent property with private pool.

Please note that the house can only be reached on foot from the parking spot, about 300 mts away down a well worn walking path. Locals still use these walking paths to get around and from the villa the network of paths lead all over the Sorrento Peninsula. At about 400 mts is the tiny village of Nerano which has three grocery stores, a bar and some of the finest restaurants of Southern Italy.

Down at the (pebbly) beach of Marina del Cantone, a no car zone, at about 500 mts, one can relax and swim in the sun, stroll along the beach walking path, select one of the many beachside trattorias or cafes, hire a boat or avail of the daily boat trips to Amalfi, Positano and Capri, available from March to October.

Furthermore, the village of Nerano is one of the few access points for entering the Cape Jeranto national park. An hour on this path leads towards the marine reserve and private beach of Baia di Jeranto, a favourite of the author and featured in the more photos pages.

Refundable security deposit

A refundable security deposit of € 300.00 is payable on arrival at the villa (can be in equivalent $US or £GBP). The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras.

Additional services and charges - payable locally on arrival (in Euros):

• Cleaning fees: Eur 120.00, including midweek maid service and final cleaning;
  
• One set of bed and bath linen per week is included in the rental cost, with change of linen midweek.
• Late arrival fees – we will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;
• Telephone - not available;
• Electricity included except for airconditioning which is payable on the basis of use (€0.30/kw)

• The season for pool opening is mid May to the end of October;
• Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager;
