Varenna is on the opposite side, while Bellagio is slightly to the right and Menaggio immediately below. The apartment is comfortably furnished, and whilst not having direct views of the lake, looks out on rich forests and lawns and has a relaxing outdoor terrace. The swimming pool (20 x 10 mt) has panoramic views over the lake and is equipped with sun lounges, whilst the clay tennis court is also available for guest use. From the car park, an ancient cobbled walking path leads down to Menaggio, passing through the medieval village of Laveno and further to the marvellous park of Villa Vigoni, residence of the German-Italian Cultural Centre (the villa and library are open to the public). Refundable security deposit- A refundable security deposit of € 300.00 is payable on arrival at the villa (can be in equivalent $US or £GBP). The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras.
