DescriptionNestled amongst pine trees on the edge of the sea, this seaside apartment - part of a larger villa - with its stunning location and outstanding views, is the perfect place for enjoying a relaxing holiday and to explore the magic Amalfi Coast and Sorrento Peninsula. Although its position is very exclusive and the setting quite unique, the villa does not fit into the luxurious category and is best described as a family beach house. Built in the late 70s - early 80s, it has been partly renovated over the years, so the interiors are slightly dated, but functional and maintained to fair standards.
The apartment (Attico) has a master bedroom, a small twin and a further double bedroom that is in a thoroughfare, but can be closed off. All bedrooms, except for one at the mezzanine level, are fitted with air-conditioning units, but not the living areas which have large opening windows to let in the sea breezes. The shared swimming pool is set in a terrace just above the sea, ideal for sun-set cocktails, while the sea access is at 100 steps from entrance. The terraces around the pool are directly above the sea and are unfenced, thereby representing a safety issue for children (and drinking adults!) who must be supervised at all times. PositionVilla del Mare is situated on a cul-de-sac, 700 mts off the coastal road after Massalubrense. Distances from this vacation rental are as follows:
- Center of Massalubrense: 3 Km (car) or 1.5 km (walking track)
- Marina della Lobra: 3.5 Km (by car) or 2 km downhill by walking track
- Sorrento - 8 km by car or 3.7 km walking
(further facilities, hospital, hydrofoil to Naples, Positano, Amalfi Capri)
- Positano - 20km, Amalfi - 35 km, Ravello - 40 km, Pompeii - 40 km Airports: Naples 60 km, Rome (Fiumicino) 267 km.

As the road winds out along the coast road from Sorrento, one can tangibly feel that they are leaving the city way of life behind. Local farmers (contadini) with their three wheeled Ape Utes tend the olive plantations that string along the rocky hillsides and every now and again the bushes open up to the stretches of blue sea and sights of Capri and the other islands in the Bay of Naples.> more
