Self-catering holiday cottage
Al fresco dining from holiday villa Vadibillo

Features:

  • A private small pool with gated access
  • Ample portico and bbq/grill area for convivial meals
  • Great sea view

Il Vadabillo is set in a peaceful spot and is reached by a narrow road, running through a cool chestnut forest at the edge of the renowned town of Sant'Agata. The sea views from Vadabillo are very special: the Isle of Ischia is in the immediate background, while Capri beckons sideways. Verdant hills surround the property, immersed in silvery olive groves.

The cottage is surrounded by spacious outdoors: immediately outside the entrance is a portico with a bbq and grill area; further down, a flight of steps leads to the fenced pool and garden area, which is raised and separated from the house, offering security for children and toddlers.

The interiors are decorated in nice and welcoming pastel tones, with lovely touches such as stone or ceramic inserts. The furnishing are rustic, with a pleasant mix of antique and new. The three bedrooms are located at ground floor and open to small terraces, while the live- in kitchen, quite spacious and well equipped, opens to a panoramic terrace, decked with solid outdoor table and chairs.

Sant' Agata

Sant'Agata sui due Golfi enjoys an enviable position on a hill between the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Salerno. It is the largest village in the Sorrento Peninsula and boasts a few Michelin starred restaurants (Don Alfonso - Taverna del Capitano) and many other fine restaurants and trattorias in the vicinity. Being half way between Sorrento and Positano, it is a very convenient base from which to explore both the Amalfi and Sorrento Coasts.> more

Nearby localities

Nerano

Situated approximately 14 km from Sorrento, the Nerano locality is a primarily agricultural/fishing community which in bygone centuries had little to do with its neighbouring areas. Blessed by a pleasant climate, wonderful outlook and steep sun drenched descent towards the sea it was the enclave of a small number of families who handed down their interests from generation to generation. Even today it is possible to recognise a strong concentration of the family surnames.> more

Sorrento

Postcard views of Sorrento often concentrate on the impressive cliffs of volcanic rock (tufa) that run down along the coast in this area and plunge perilously into the sea. These cliffs and the wonderfully rich volcanic soils of the area provide wonderful opportunities for spectacular views from panoramic gardens which feature in this area of Italy.> more
