Description A flat footpath and just 7 stairs lead around from a car drop off point to the entrance of Apartment Basilico in a raised position above the lively centre of Manarola. Unencumbered with luggage it takes just 5 minutes to go down the stairs to reach the town centre and a further 2 minutes to reach the railway station or jetty. The accommodation is set out on two floors with two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a second kitchenette on the ground floor and a further bedroom with en-suite on the first floor together with a large open plan room that serves as a bedroom, lounge and open kitchen. In addition to a double bed, this room has a divan bed providing the possibility to sleep a total of 4 guests. Access to the furnished terrace with views over the whole of Manarola is possible from either of the rooms on the first floor.

This locality
 Manarola
Manarola is the second village from the south and lies between Riomaggiore and Corniglia. A flat pedestrian walk leads from the station to the principal piazza that leads up to the centre of town along a sunken riverbed and down to the port area where the 'strada di amore' (walk of love) arrives from Riomaggiore. In the Cinque Terra it is hard to find modern, clean and accessible accommodation, however here in Manarola we have managed to find some wonderful solutions. > more

Special Notes for Apartment Basilico Please refer to our Terms and Conditions in respect to additional charges and extras applicable to rental villas and apartment accommodation. Refundable security deposit A refundable security deposit of €100 is payable on arrival at the villa. The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras. Additional services and charges - payable locally on arrival (in Euros): - Final cleaning costs are included in the villa rental amount. Additional mid week cleaning may be requested but will be charged as an extra;
- One set of bed and bath linen per week is included in the rental cost. Additional changes can be requested and will be charged at €12.00 per change per person;
- Utilities costs (except heating) are included in the villa rental price;
- Late arrival fees - we will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;
Other information - Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager;

The southern most village of the Cinque Terra, Riomaggiore lies on the walking path south to Portovenere or north to the next 5T village of Manarola along the famous 'la via dell'amore' (walk of love). Nestled between two cliffs, the town is noted for its vertical buildings that have a lower (front) entrance and a higher (rear) access onto the higher roads behind. Between the two sides there is a lovely characteristic fishing port.> more

Located at the northern end of the Cinque Terra, Portovenere is one of Italy's most famous 'post car' villages. Brightly coloured buildings along a protected harbour lead to a picturesque promontory with an antique church and swimming area.
