- Walk to beach and town
DescriptionThe drive along the seaside road from Santa Margherita to Portofino is 4km and after 3km is the beautiful sandy cove known as Paraggi. At the last curve before entering the Portofino village, there is a turnoff controlled by a gatekeeper to the small residential community where Villa Baratta is located. It is possible to find a park along the street or place a car inside the gates at the front of the villa that is built on a hill side. Entering into the front door there is a reception area with wicker furniture leading through to an open plan living and dining room and thereon to the rear terrace overlooking the crystal clear Liguria sea and small beach. On the left of the entrance is a well equipped kitchen with small breakfast table leading onto a shaded veranda with sea views. There are two bedrooms on this level that share an en-suite bathroom between them. One opens out onto the same veranda as the kitchen and the other has a window overlooking the sea through the trees. A set of stairs leads down to the lower level where two bedrooms and a bathroom open onto an external portico veranda with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. External footpaths lead through the garden to the ground level or down towards the beach. The public bus to Paraggi and Santa Margherita is 100m from the villa and a path from the front gate leads directly to the main piazza of Portofino.
