Description Villa Amore is an old country house with pool located along a back road that passes through the countryside of Modica, a charming baroque town in southern Sicily. The dwelling was recently renovated, respecting the traditional rural architectural style of the 'baglio', The manor house has also been renovated and is occasionally used by the owners (who live nearby) but rarely when guests are occupying the farmhouse. Beyond the courtyard is a lawn area leading down to a large swimming pool (15m x 7.5m) with terrace-solarium surrounded by a luxuriant garden with citrus trees and Mediterranean plants. Villa Amore has cosy, well-proportioned interiors decorated with unique, tasteful furnishings - from the spacious entrance to the bright living room, from the modern kitchen to the comfortable bedrooms - and is the ideal spot for those looking for relaxation in refined rooms. The property has easy access to antique villages and art cities that are wonderful to discover including the art towns of the Val di Noto,Scicli, Ragusa-Ibla, Noto and Siracusa, and the important archaeological, sites of Cava d'Ispica and of the Oasi di Vendicari.Meanwhile the renowned beaches of Marina di Modica and Pozzallo are not far away.

Situated in the south eastern of Sicily between Syracuse and Ragusa, Modica is a town that oozes opulence and culture . Situated in the Hyblaean Mountains, it has been inhabited since the 7th century BC and is now, along with Val di Noto, part of UNESCO Heritage Sites in Italy. Apart from the picturesque town which sprawls up the side of a valley, the Marina di Modica is blessed with beautiful beaches only 20km to the south. Refundable security deposit A refundable security deposit of €500 is payable on arrival at the property. The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras. General Information: - Normal arrival times are between 15:30 (3:30pm) and 19:00 (7pm). Departure is by 9:30 on the day of departure.
- The season for pool opening is from the start of April to the end of October;
Services included and extras: - Final cleaning is included in the weekly rental amount and no extra is payable.
- One set of bed and bath linen per week is included. Additional changes may be requested at the cost of €12 per person. Beach/pool towels are not provided;
- Additional maid service can be requested at a cost of €12 per hour
- Energy consumption is included except for heating and air-conditioning which are extras in the amount of €105 each per week.
- Kitchen gas and water costs are included
- High chairs and cots are available on request at no extra charge
- Late arrival fees - we will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;
- Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager;

Ragusa
Ragusa is part of the Val di Noto Unesco Heritage site and 18 of its buildings are protected by Unesco patronage. Largely devastated by an earthquake in 1693, the original town, now known as Ragusa Ibla was rebuilt on the original site whilst the wealthy developed a new, higher part of the town now known as Ragusa Superiore. The stacked views of the town make it attractive to explore and the Baroque architecture is outstanding. A 20 minute drive will bring you to numerous golden sandy beaches set in their beautiful coves. Punta Secca is a long beach which has become famous in Italy thanks to the popular TV serial 'Commissario Moltalbano' (Chief Constable Montalbano). A few minutes away are the beaches of Marina di Ragusa, the best known beach resort of the area with a lively night life and Irmino Oasis amongst the many other sandy coves. > more
