Description The villa is comprised of the main house, split over two levels and a dependence with two bedrooms separated by a paved courtyard at the rear of the property. The ground floor of the villa is accessed through various doors that lead from the pool into either of the two living dining rooms, or from the courtyard directly into the kitchen area. Villa Ginestra lends itself perfectly to Sicily's temperate climate and long hot summers by providing ample shaded areas for eating and recreation and large door s that open onto them providing cooling breezes throughout the villa. Stairs lead up to the first floor where the landing opens out onto a further shaded terrace furnished with table and chairs. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms on this level. Across the courtyard is the dependence opening into a large living/dining room with corner kitchenette. A corridor leads down to the large bathroom which also serves as the villa's laundry and one double bedroom and a single bedroom. Adjacent to the dependence is an alcove with a wood fired pizza oven (not functional) and a triple carport. The seawater swimming pool (11mx5m) at the front of the villa is surrounded by a paved and furnished solarium and a large shaded veranda providing a wonderful area for summer meals and access to the living rooms of the villa. Stairs lead down from the pool to a large palm garden with a paved footpath to the front entrance. Over the gravel road, a trail with concrete steps leads 5minutes down to a lovely the secluded beach cove of Cala Rossa.
Position The villa is positioned 3km from Scopello in the direction of Castellamare del Golfo along a small coastal road that becomes gravel a few hundred metres short of the villa. Double steel gates and a steel pedestrian gate provide a secure entrance to the property, although the area is very private and very little traffic uses the road. Special Notes for Villa Ginestra, Sicily, Italy 2012 prices are provisional and may be revised, however most owners will accept bookings at 2011 prices until the new prices are confirmed. Please send an enquiry and we'll respond with a firm quote. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions in respect to additional charges and extras applicable to rental villas and apartment accommodation. Refundable security deposit A refundable security deposit of €500 is payable on arrival at the property. The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras. General Information: - Normal arrival times are between 15:30 (3:30pm) and 19:00 (7pm). Departure is by 9:30 on the day of departure.
- The swimming pool is open from mid May to September;
Services included and extras: - Final cleaning is an extra payable locally in the amount of €150 and not included in weekly rental.
- One set of bed and bath linen per week is included. Additional changes may be requested at the cost of €12 per person. Beach/pool towels are not provided;
- Additional maid service can be requested at a cost of € 18 per hour payable locally
- Electricity, gas and other utilities costs (except energy costs for heating) are included in villa rental;
- Heating, if required, is payable on the basis of consumption of energy;
- High chairs and cots are available at an additional cost of €50 per week
- Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager;
- Domestic pets may be allowed at the property. Please enquire prior to booking.
- Late arrival fees - we will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;
