Description

The entrance to Villa Cherubini is guarded by two large remote controlled security gates. A gravel road leads up 800m through parkland to the large parking area adjacent to the villa which was totally renovated in 2004. A pathway leads round to the front entrance on the ground level of the villa featuring a welcoming sitting room with a professional cafe bar and coffee machine. To the side are a large dining room and the adjoining commercial style kitchen. On this level are five bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, two of which open directly onto the front terrace and lawn area.

Stairs lead down to a large taverna with large sitting room, open fireplace, two bathrooms and a library. This level provides direct access to the parkland at the rear of the villa. Seven further bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms are located on the first floor accessible from stairs in the entrance hall.

The villa is well set up for the needs of large groups; cosy sitting areas with chairs and tables invite for lively discussions whilst those who would prefer some peace can retire to one of the sitting rooms, library or pool terrace. The terrace is perfect for breakfast or dinner enjoying fresh evening breezes and the illuminated panorama of Montecatini. Around the property there are numerous trails for those seeking to mountain bike ride or find a quiet shady position to read or paint. Domestic animals are also welcome at the villa and two enclosed dog kennels are provided for guests.

Villa Cherubini is between the villages of Montecatini Terme (hot springs - 1.5km) and Montecatini Alto (hilltop village - 2km). Radio controlled security gates lead into a lit gravel driveway that meanders up 800m through parkland to the two villa carparks.

Lying approximately 47km northwest of Florence on the main highway connecting Florence with Lucca and the seaside, Montecatini is well known for its hot springs that have been popular since the 14th century. The elegant town with its thermal facilities lies the foot of a quaint medieval hilltop village known as Montecatini Alto. Both centres are connected by cable railway and are very popular destinations.

Refundable security deposit

A refundable security deposit of €500 is payable in cash on arrival at the property. The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras.

General Information:

• Normal arrival times are between 15:30 (3:30pm) and 19:00 (7pm). Departure is by 9:30 on the day of departure. Out of hours arrivals can usually be accommodated but must be advised at least two weeks prior to arrival. We cannot accept responsability where a late arrival is not pre-advised and the local manager is unavailable.
• The season for pool opening is from mid April to the end of October;

Services included and extras:

• Final cleaning is an extra payable locally in the amount of €13 per person (min €160) and not included in weekly rental.
• One set of bed and bath linen per week is included. Additional changes may be requested at the cost of €12 per person. Beach/pool towels are not provided;
• Additional maid service can be requested at a cost of € 15 per hour
• Local telephone calls and internet connection are included in the villa price;
• Electricity consumption is included except for Air Conditioning which is charged on the basis of consumption of energy at the rate of €1.00 per KwH
• Heating, if required, is payable on the basis of consumption of gas at €5.00 per M3 of gas
• Kitchen gas and water costs are included
• High chairs and cots are available at an additional cost of €50 per week
• Dogs are welcome, however a supplement of €30 per dog is payable
• Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager;
