Features - Quality of accommodation and amenities
- Setting in a large private estate
- Convenient position
Description At the entrance to Varramista Estate, a long driveway leads up to the manor house with beautiful gardens and large shady trees which is still the summer residence of Donna Chiara Visconti di Modrone, Enrico Piaggio's granddaughter. Adjacent are the historic wine cellars and farm buildings, tasting rooms and a small lake. Six kilometres of private roads within the estate lead through the hills, forests and vineyards to three separate country houses, each completely independent and hidden from the other and equipped with separate swimming pools and landscaped gardens. Each of the farm houses has been carefully restored into apartments which can also be joined to create a single living solution. They are all furnished to a very high standard, equipped with air-conditioning, fax, telephone, ADSL** and have outdoor dining facilities. We have featured some of the apartments in the following pages and a summary of the three properties is as follows: La Frasca: An independent villa with detached hay barn divided into two fully communicating apartments of 8 + 8 and the barn which sleeps 4. La Lecceta has a swimming pool on a lower terraced level measuring 15m x 7.5m. Il Monsonaccio: An independent two story villa with a detached hay barn set in large gardens surrounded by large shady trees.
