DescriptionIl Casale is an attractive old farmhouse recently transformed into a welcoming holiday home whilst carefully maintaining the original characteristics of the building. The interior decorations and furnishings are of a high standard throughout. From its elevated position at the foot of Monte Cetona, the villa looks over the beautiful Val di Paglia and the surrounding landscape, made up of rolling hills alternated by wooded areas and red clay formations. The area is well known for its red wines, that can be sampled or purchased at the many wineries, cellars and wine bars. A few kilometres from the house is the small village of San Casciano dei Bagni, famous even in Etruscan and Roman times for its healing thermal waters. Spacious grounds surround the house whilst the oak woods guarantee privacy. The 5 x 10m swimming pool is in a lovely sunny position just a few metres from the main building.

 Palazzone
Palazzone is a small characteristic Tuscan village in the hills below San Casciano dei Bagni. A tiny centre with just two cafes, bars, some well stocked general stores, post and some excellent local wine cellars, it has everything one could wish for on a self-catering holiday. The village is practically closed to traffic being a medieval town with very narrow roads. As a result the central piazza is a lively place for locals to meet for a coffee and converse. The local area has sport fields, tennis courts and some lovely country walks. We offer a selection of rental villas in the Palazzone area including some that are walking distance from the village. > more

Refundable security depositA refundable security deposit of € 250.00 is payable on arrival at the villa (can be in equivalent $US or £GBP). The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras. Additional services and charges - payable locally (in Euros):- Final cleaning fees are included in the rental amount.
- One set of bed and bath linen per week is included in the rental cost. Additional changes can be requested and will be charged at €6.00 per change per person;
- Late arrival fees. We will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;
- Telephone not available;
- Electricity costs are included in the villa rental price;
- Heating (per week if required) - according to use of gas or electricity.
Other information- The period for pool opening is mid May to the last Saturday in September;
- Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager;
- Bicycle hire, food hampers, cooking and many other services mentioned on our booking form can be pre-arranged and prices will be provided on application.

Siena
Siena is one of the most beautiful towns of Tuscany and perhaps Italy. Surrounded by olive groves and the vineyards of Chianti the town is set on three hills and is mostly pedenstrian only. At the centre of the town is the large Piazza del Campo, noted for the Palio horse race held each July and August and full of activity year round. An important university town, Siena has wonderful outdoor cafes, piazzas, churches and museums.> more
