Palazzone is a small characteristic Tuscan village in the hills below San Casciano dei Bagni. A tiny centre with just two cafes, bars, some well stocked general stores, post and some excellent local wine cellars, it has everything one could wish for on a self-catering holiday.

The village is practically closed to traffic being a medieval town with very narrow roads. As a result the central piazza is a lively place for locals to meet for a coffee and converse. The local area has sport fields, tennis courts and some lovely country walks.

Getting to and from Palazzone

Palazzone is situated 10km from the main north/south motorway exit at Fabro, which is approximately half way between Florence and Rome (approx 1.5 hours each way). Those coming from the north (Florence) would normally exit the motorway at Chiusi.
