DescriptionLocated approximately 2km from the reception and ancient Abbey within the estate, Villa Verdante is located in a quiet position in the heart of a 830ha (1700 acre) estate in southern Tuscany. With over 400ha of forest and 70km of trails, it is a nature lovers paradise and this rental villa has pride of position. A private gravel driveway leads up to the farmhouse that faces south towards the Val d’Orcia. Sleeping 14 guests in 7 spacious bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, the villa is loosely divided into the day area on the ground floor and the bedrooms both downstairs and upstairs. Access to upstairs can be gained from an internal spiral staircase or external stairs. The house furnishing and interiors are refined and tasteful, ideal for a relaxed country environment. The shaded ground floor entrance to the villa leads into a spacious open plan area that exits on the other side to a sunny expanse of lawn with beautiful views and on to the swimming pool. The area contains a living room, a dining room with large “sit-in” fireplace, and a large bench dividing the well equipped kitchen area near the door leading out to the lawn and pool. There are three bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms opening onto the garden on the ground floor as well as a service bathroom. Up the stairs there is a spacious sitting room equipped with a TV and divans. The external stairs also open into a small entrance with a writing desk. There are four bedrooms each with en-suite bathrooms and wonderful views. Please read the technical description for the configuration of the rooms.

Sarteano is situated in southern Tuscany at the northern end of the Val d'Orcia. Being just over half way between Rome and Florence (less than 2 hours to either) and just off the main A1 motorway, it is a convenient holiday location.
At 573 metres of elevation the classic hill town is situated on a spur of Mount Cetona. The top of the hill is occupied by a castle dating back to around 1100 and the towns municipal pool is fed by thermal springs of which there are many in the area.> more

Special Notes for Villa Verdante Please refer to our Terms and Conditions in respect to additional charges and extras applicable to rental villas and apartment accommodation. Refundable security deposit A refundable security deposit of €500 is payable on arrival at the villa. The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras. Additional services and charges - payable locally on arrival (in Euros): - A expense reimbursement of €200 .00 per week is payable on arrival at the villa. This fee reimburses the cost of final cleaning, linen, water, electricity and kitchen gas. This includes midweek cleaning on Mon, Wed, Fri with a change of linen on Wed.
- Additional changes of linen can be requested and will be charged at €12.00 per change per person;
- Heating (if required) is an additional cost based on the consumption of gas;
- Late arrival fees - we will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;
Other information - The season for pool opening is from mid May to mid October;
- Pool towels are provided;
- Wireless internet connection can be obtained from the reception area (near the monastery);
- Unfortunately barbecues are not allowed due to the risk of fire;
- Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager;
- Boats and bikes hire, food hampers, cooking and many other services mentioned on our booking form can be pre-arranged and prices will be provided on application.
