DescriptionThe imposing 16th century complex in Palladian style is set out with the central villa flanked on both sides by arcaded wings which frame an ‘Italian' style garden with fountain, Greek mythical statues, flower beds, lawns and bushes. The villa is immersed in a fully fenced park of 7ha comprising wonderful gardens, expansive lawns and areas of woodland. Inside the left arcaded wing of the villa the independent guests apartment has 4 spacious bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, luminous living room, dining room, kitchen and library. Furniture and objects belonging to the family from the 16th century have been combined with modern requirements and comfortable furnishings to create a warm and welcoming ambience. The bedrooms are air-conditioned for summer comfort, although the thick walls of the villa provide even temperatures throughout the year. Close to the main building in a walled garden separated from the main park and reserved for guest use only is a swimming pool (9 x 6 m, and 1,60 m deep) surrounded by oleanders, roses and hydrangeas. The area is relatively self contained comprising a patio, wooden table, ten chairs, six deck-chairs and a barbeque/grill. A dressing room with pool towels (changed twice a week), extra chairs and a small refrigerator is accessible from the pool area. In addition the park contains a soccer field inside the park and three mountain bikes.
